5 geometric prints you need for your home

While you can trace geometric home décor all the way back to the mosaic floors of Ancient Greece, this age-old pattern remains one of 2019’s hottest interior trends.

Whether used to redesign sofas, armchairs, curtains or even wallpaper, geometric prints introduce interesting patterns and a cacophony of colour to spaces.

But which geometric design should you go for? To help you find the right print for your home, browse the most eye-catching geometric fabrics, below – we’re sure you won’t struggle to find a favourite.

Zodiac

Zodiac geometric upholstery fabric

We start with Zodiac; a striking pattern that makes the eyes do somersaults.

The Zodiac’s textured weave is available in four different colourways – Cobalt, Spice, Teal and Saffron – giving you plenty of style choices. While geometric patterns are generally associated with a modern look, there’s a timeless appeal to the Zodiac pattern that looks just as good in a minimalist aesthetic as it does within a busy “boho-chic” space.

And don’t be afraid to take your Zodiac design to all areas of your décor. Curtains in our Zodiac Cobalt style, for instance, draw the eye to big bay windows, while a Zodiac-clad sofa will complement plain accents perfectly.

Glacier

glacier200Embodying the broken and chiselled ice crystals of its namesake, the Glacier fabric is best suited to cool, understated décors.

Framing your windows with the Midnight Glacier fabric, for example, injects just the right amount of intrigue, without overwhelming the senses. If you’re hoping to layer busy patterns into your décor, on the other hand, then you can even the balance with the more neutral Putty Glacier fabric.

Zeus

zeus200

With a look of newly cut diamonds, Zeus uses subtle embroidered  patterns to bring a sparkling finish to your home.

This detailed design is available in three different colourways:        Charcoal, Stone and Pearl. The dark hues of the Charcoal style look the part in minimalistic settings (think ice white walls and pentagon coffee tables) whereas, the neutral palettes of the Stone and Pearl Zeus fabrics blend seamlessly into a mid-century    aesthetic and a nostalgic 60s vibe.

Astral

Astral geometric home decor

Possibly the most iconic geometric design, this dizzying Astral design takes the free-spirited feeling of the 70s and throws it headfirst into the modern day.

And while repetitive symmetrical triangles are a feast for the eyes, finding the right colour is paramount. For a dramatic look, try the darker shades of Cobalt. For something fresh and vibrant, try the bright yellows of Saffron or the soothing tones of Teal. No matter which you choose, this striking pattern will take centre stage of any room.

Astral is available as a geometric curtain fabric, a reupholstery fabric and a sofa cover, too - but be careful not to overdo it. Too much of this pattern could look messy, so you might want to opt for Astral on a simple armchair, rather than restyling your entire sofa suite.

Enigma

enigma200

While many geometric designs are bold and brash, Enigma offers a calmer, more neutral alternative.

Despite its name, there’s nothing mysterious about the subtle, sophisticated finish that each colourway offers. The Sterling and Calico colour schemes are suitably modern, while Marine and Willow look at home in contemporary and retro settings alike. Love the Enigma look? Combine two or more colours to give spaces a fresh feel.
