An update for our customers regarding coronavirus

Eight weeks ago, we took the decision to close our factory and suspend our in home service, in order to protect our customers and team. In that time, we have proudly been cutting and sewing scrubs for our local NHS hospitals, alongside trying to best prepare for the return to work. Now, after two months of carefully monitoring Government advice and overhauling operational procedures to enable our team to work safely, we are pleased to be able to update you on our next steps. Whether you have an open order with us, or you are interested in requesting a home visit, we have outlined key questions and answers below.


Plumbs have my furniture and have notified me that is is completed

As of last week, a small number of our Transport team returned to work and commenced contacting those customers whose completed furniture has been held at our factory until delivery was possible. Our delivery service is available with some limitations regarding entering the home and social distancing. All drivers have been issued with PPE, mobile hand-washing facilities, and vats of hand sanitiser for use before and after delivery.

I would personally like to thank these customers for finding alternative seating arrangements throughout the past few weeks, and we hope your newly transformed furniture brings some joy to your homes in these unprecedented times! If you have not yet heard from our Transport team, please do bear with us.


I have placed an order and Plumbs have my furniture/measurements

From the 18th May, some of our production units have reopened in a limited capacity. We have reduced the number of staff onsite in order to maintain social distancing, and have provided the appropriate Health and Safety equipment and checks to best protect the team's wellbeing. Over the next few weeks we will build our operational team in order to manufacture and deliver all pending orders.

Due to only having limited staff onsite, we won't be working to our usual timescales, but will endeavour to provide a high quality service as efficiently as we are able to.

I have placed an order but my measurements have not been taken

Though at this moment in time we cannot guarantee when our national in-home service will be fully operational again, we have begun to formulate some initial plans. We are closely monitoring Government guidelines surrounding having people in the home, and will be communicating clearly with our consultants on the matter. When your consultant is able to visit, and you are happy for them to come, they will ensure to use the appropriate PPE and follow guidelines surrounding cleanliness. We are hopeful that these orders will begin to progress in the upcoming weeks.

It is likely that when the home consultancy service does resume, consultants will attempt to minimise contact with you. For example, they may request to be left alone with the furniture whilst they measure, so they can complete the required job in an efficient and safe manner.


I have requested a home visit but not yet seen a consultant

Once again, we cannot confirm when our in-home consultancy service will resume. Consultants will likely resume service in their area on an individual basis, whilst considering the safety of you both.

When resumed, our in-home consultancy service will be different. It may be quicker than you expect as we adjust to minimising contact, and many of our consultants will choose to wear protective masks or gloves. We will be issuing guidelines to all consultants surrounding expected hygiene practices. We also expect there to be a reduction in the number of visit slots available as consultants allow for time to sanitise their swatchbooks and brochures.

What we can guarantee, however, is that our service will maintain its friendly, no pressure attitude, as we aim to inform and inspire you in the comfort of your own home. All offers yu have seen online or elsewhere will still stand, in addition to our Interest Free Credit option.


I am interested in requesting a home visit

If you would like to request a home consultant visit, please enter your details here or email with your name, address and telephone number. Our in-home service will only resume once it is safe to do so under Government guidelines, and will likely return on a regional basis.

Once you are contacted by your consultant, there is no pressure to have a visit immediately. We are happy to wait until you are ready to be seen.


I would like to see samples of materials

For those who have seen fabrics either in a previous home consultant visit or on our website, we would be delighted to send out swatches for you to view at home. Please note, there may be a short delay on these, as we are working in a highly reduced capacity. In order to ensure a quicker service, please do make sure to include your postal address.
