Plumbs add Aqua Clean fabrics to range

We have recently joined up with Aqua Clean to bring our customers a brand new range of fabrics which are designed to be able to eliminate the toughest household stains using just water!

 Rustika 2016 A 8412661 Ret 1

How does it work?

The Aqua Clean technology is used to cover every single fibre within the fabric creating an invisible coating which stops liquids and stains from penetrating the fabric.  This coating means even the toughest household spills and stains (such as red wine and pen) can be removed by using a little water and tissue.

 4 Step

See how easy it is to remove stubborn ink from this sofa…

This technology makes these fabrics hugely practical for busy homes, especially those with small children and pets. It also means you don’t need to wash your removable loose covers as much as you normally would, which in turn will pro long their lifespan.

If you would like more information on this brand new range of fabrics or any other products in the Plumbs range, then please contact us today or call 0800 019 0505, and one of our trained advisors will be able to talk you through the best options for your home.

Spring Fabric Launch

Spring has just arrived, the awful weather is hopefully behind us, and glimmers of sunshine are slowly pushing through the dark clouds.  To prepare for brighter weather we’ve added over a 100 fabulous new fabrics and colourways to our range.

The additions to our range will include fabrics from well-known Design Houses such as Ross Fabrics, Linwood, Warwick, Sanderson, William Morris and Jim Dickens.  These new fabrics will extend all areas of our range from loose covers and reupholstery to curtains and scatter cushions.

The new collection will hopefully have something for everyone including stripes, florals, checks, and bold geometric prints.  Here are a few examples of our most exciting additions…

Mtt Rap P1

The ottoman has been reupholstered in the stunning Picasso - Raspberry fabric, and the sofa has been reupholstered in a pretty Montartre also in Raspberry.  Both of these fabrics are from Warwick Fabrics.

Chairs

These stunning geometric prints are from Linwood fabrics in the colourway Currant/Gold.

 Liberti

This bold and vibrant fabric is called Liberti – Aubergine, and will take centre stage in any home.  Let the print stand out by co-ordinating with simple coloured scatters.

Lci Mnk P2

If you prefer more neutral tones we’ve also added some new colourways to existing fabrics in the Plumbs range.  This sofa is reupholstered in Luciano – Mink, and the chair and footstool is reupholstered in Ricco – Mink.  These fabrics are available in the same colourways to create stunning co-ordinating looks.

Go Green with Envy

As the days get shorter and nights colder, we begin to look for ways to keep warm and cosy, whether using soft fabrics or warm comforting colours.   Our brand new ‘Luciano’ fabric shown below in bold Citrus in reupholstery, is perfect for the colder months as it has a soft velvet- feel.  This sumptuous statement fabric has been matched with a co-ordinating plain velvet - feel ‘Ricco’ cushion and footstool.  To accessorize this look team with rich grey textured walls, and metallic accents.  Keep flooring and rugs neutral to really let this fabric stand out.

Plumbs Reupholstery

If you prefer more muted tones we offer other colourways such as ‘Mink’ or ‘Pebble’ that are beautiful when mixed with bold coloured accents and textures.  Autumnal colours such as burnt oranges and browns will match perfectly with these neutral tones to add depth and warmth to your home

Or if you would like to take inspiration from bright berries on wreaths and turning leaves outside why not choose deep ‘Crimson’ and accessorize with vivid Gold cushions, sumptuous throws and soft lighting for a sophisticated look.

Our Autumn range includes a number of contemporaray and traditional style fabrics.  To see a full range, contact Plumbs today for a FREE Home Consultation.  Your Home consultant will help you choose the perfect fabric for your piece of furniture, and we will even take it away for you and return it looking as good as the day you bought it!

Five Fabrics of a Different Stripe

Since the 1930s, stripes have been synonymous with summer; evoking images of regattas, picnic lunches on the riverbank, luxurious garden houses filled with exotic plants and the gentle hum of bees.

The boat show's nautical pattern has been re-interpreted in this season's colours – ivory, gold, aubergine - by our fabric designers, meaning you can achieve a beautiful, contemporary look with roots in traditional motifs.

Curtains

Preparing for summer means putting your home in order and clearing out the clutter; making your home fresh, airy and inviting. Start by cleaning those windows and replacing winter curtains with a lighter coloured pair. Summer curtains should be crisp, subtle and elegant - stripes of duck egg blue and taupe work well to evoke a seaside atmosphere.

Restrain them with matching curtain ties, or else a piece of matching velvet ribbon can be a charming alternative.

Bright Sofa

For this summer, if you want to freshen up your furniture's upholstery, focus on a muted, yet luxurious neutral palette of gold, ivory and linen, accented with pops of rich, jewel colours, in warm hues like aubergine or burgundy. These softer, more neutral tints give playful stripes a sophisticated makeover, especially when the stripe is executed in a soft textured velvet, or has a luxurious sheen, as in this MayFair Gold Stripe fabric.

Statement Armchair

If you are looking to make a statement, why not try a bright, colourful, yet luxurious armchair, incorporating both ombre stripes and classic damask patterning. A traditionally shaped chair will balance the contemporary, vibrant upholstery, such as the ever popular wing back. Pair with muted accessories, such as this dove grey cushion, and think about texture rather than colour when ornamenting such a bold piece.

Home Accessories

Don't be afraid to accessorise your sofa or occasional chair with contrasting accessories. You can choose contrasting colours, or different patterns – for example plush floral cushions in the same hues as your furniture, or plain cushions in a directly contrasting colour. Deeper jewel tone colours co-ordinate surprisingly well, as do neutral, velvety damask cushions, and sumptuously textured throws. Look for comfortable, cosy fabrics that are also hard wearing and easy to maintain; machine washable is also a good plus.

Ottoman

Candy pink stripes are a particular favourite in upholstery, perfect as part of a romantic, floral design, or a beautiful accent to a conservatory. They are playful, and cheerful, the perfect balance to the sturdy, practical ottoman, designed to store items and receive weary feet at the end of the day. If you prefer a more cohesive look, why not match curtains, ottoman and three piece suite with the same upholstery? Paired with neutral walls it can be a really effective look.
