Plumbs at the Ideal Home Show London 2017

Another brilliant couple of weeks have passed at The Ideal Home Show and we’ve really enjoyed speaking to everyone who visited us in the Home Interiors section.

Ihs Plumbs

One of our favourite parts of the Show are always the Good Homes Magazine room sets.  Bursting with colour, inspiration and clever design they are always a talking point when walking through the show.

This kitchen design is all about mixing colours from a similar colour palette such as concrete, silver and dove grey.  The oak worktops and chrome touches add a luxury element to this colourful design.

Ihs Kitchen

We love the clever partition wall and pendant lighting in this bedroom.  The soft yellow wall colour and pale grey flooring give the room a fresh and airy feeling.

Ihs Bedroom

The almost black walls give a dark and indulgent feel to this grown up bathroom.  This darkness is balanced out with freshness coming through from the green foliage, and natural wood side table.

We can’t wait to return in 2018 for another year at the Ideal Home Show, but before then you can catch us at many other shows across the company.  Click here to find out where we are next..

Plumbs at the Ideal Homes Show London 2016

We’re back at the Ideal Home Show on the 18th March at London Olympia and we’re excited to announce we will be one of the events sponsors this year!

Over the past few weeks we’ve been busy preparing for the upcoming show, and this year we can be sure that our stand will be the best it’s ever been!  We’ll be bringing some of our newest fabrics designs, as well as offering fabulous deals exclusive to the show. What’s more we will also be running some very exciting competitions.

 Ideal Home Show

There’s so much to do at this show whether you’re interested in homes, garden, beauty, food, fashion and technology. One of the highlights we’re really excited about this year are the show houses which are great for you’re looking for some innovative design ideas and you may even see a Plumbs fabric in there too.

If you do happen to come along to the show this year, make sure to book a table at the Grand Tea Rooms, we’re sure that after an afternoon perusing the show you’ll need a well-deserved rest. You’ll also get to see the furniture we’ve helped transform - giving the tea rooms a soft vintage look.

We’ll be at stand L551 in the Interiors section – so pop over and say hello, and if you can’t make it to this show why not take a look at upcoming list of events and find one near you…

Highlights from the Ideal Home Show London

The Ideal Home Show London has finished for another year so now is the perfect time to look over the highlights from the new venue – Olympia, London.

Indigo & Earth Living Room

This blue colour scheme is anything but cold, especially when teamed with the contemporary wood burner and plush metallic accessories.  Although there is quite a large sofa and a lot of furniture in this room, the use of glass and mirrors make this living room feel much more spacious.

Blue Room

Slate & Leaf Dining Room

Botanicals are an interior trend that’s set to stay! The vivid Green and Yellows in this room look great against the dark charcoal walls.  The addition of white chairs and light pendant helps freshen and balance the overall look. Although the overall feel of this dining room is quite moody, the accessories and styling help take our minds straight to Spring/Summer.

Botanical Room

Copper & Clay Bedroom

The Copper Blush walls in this bedroom are a huge trend for 2015.  This colour and two-tone paint effect really plays on the Mediterranean feel of this trend.  This design has also incorporated another big trend this season.  Bold geometric prints in a mix of styles and sizes help add splashes of extra colour to this bedroom.

Copper Room

We loved how eye-catching this stand was from The dizzying display of colours, patterns and lights looked great against the black back drop. Turkish Lamps

And of course the telephone box sofa on the Plumbs stand!  We loved speaking to all who stopped by, and we hope everyone had as much fun as we did.  We look forward to seeing you all next year!

Great day out at the Ideal Home Show Manchester

Early morning in Manchester, and already the outside of Eventcity had begun to get busy, as people eagerly anticipated the grand opening of the Ideal Home Show.  I see a few celebrities getting ready to cut the ribbon such as interior design guru Laurence Llewelyn Bowen, money expert Martin Lewis and presenter of amazing spaces – George Clark.

Once inside the show, you were greeted with a Brass band and huge lampshade displays in an array of designs and colours.

The Plumbs stand all set to greet visitors in the interiors section, and our Mini sofa was still attracting many passers-by.Plumbs Stand

Surrounding us in the interiors section were room sets created by stores such as Next, John Lewis and Laura Ashley.

I love how the miss-match of colours and styles work in harmony together to create an eclectic yet stylish room.

Cosy, Flamboyant Florals – Laura Ashley

Laura Ashley

One of my favourite aspects of these rooms sets were these origami paper birds on the walls by Laura Ashley, they add a sense of fun and are a great way to use leftover wallpaper.

The Coastal Room - Next

The subtle colours and natural materials create a soothing and liveable space.

As well as being truly inspired by these gorgeous room sets, I also saw some very bold and dramatic accessories and furniture.  This patchwork upholstered chair caught my eye, although I’m not sure I could live with such a striking piece!

Overall the Ideal Home Show was a great place to go if you’re considering home improvements or if you were looking for an interesting day out.  If interiors aren’t your thing then there was much more to keep you entertained, such as the Greg Wallace restaurant, many food and cooking stalls, plus an array of health and beauty products, all under one roof!

We look forward to seeing you next year!
