Creating a home that feels welcoming, relaxed and beautifully lived-in has always been important to our recent customer, Emily. Drawn to timeless country-inspired interiors, she wanted her dining room to feel soft, calm and effortlessly elegant. A space where family life could unfold comfortably, without compromising on style.

With its characterful beams, warm natural textures and gentle neutral palette, Emily’s dining room already had the foundations of something special – but the finishing touches would truly bring everything together. She was looking for made-to-measure curtains that would soften the space, add warmth and create a feeling of home from the moment you walked in.

Her journey began with a free home visit from Amanda, her local Plumbs home consultant. Together, they explored fabrics, textures and colours, carefully considering not only the look Emily wanted to achieve, but how the room needed to work for everyday family life too.

After choosing Bayswater – Sesame, a timeless linen-toned fabric in the soft, natural palette of her home, every detail was carefully measured and considered. Rather than opting for a more standard curtain heading, Emily chose a beautifully gathered header, designed to create softer, more relaxed folds across the track. Paired with an elegant, puddled length, the finished look feels effortlessly luxurious and full of character — a perfect example of how made-to-measure design allows for those thoughtful, bespoke finishing touches that make a home feel truly personal.

Expert curtain fitting

Details decided, Emily’s curtains were handcrafted here in the UK by our skilled team and returned to Amanda for fitting. Once professionally hung, the transformation was complete. Best of all, Emily was delighted with both the result and the experience from start to finish:
