We all know that moving house is bound to be stressful, but we’re sorry to say that the worries won’t wane once that final box is unpacked. Even with all your favourite bits and bobs proudly in place (and then rearranged another ten times), sometimes your new house still won’t feel like home.
That was the problem for Jo. The home still held the charm she fell in love with, the space was just right for her family and her furniture worked well- but something felt off. Fortunately, Plumbs were on hand to help, and with our expert made-to-measure curtain service, Jo’s house finally felt like home. Read on to see the full transformation.
Kitchen
The blind in Jo’s kitchen was simple and inoffensive, but as the hub of the home, she knew that it needed something a little more fun. Our new collection of curtain fabrics were the ideal choice for a modern family home, and Wayfarer (Atlantic Grey) perfectly matched the mixed tiling already in place.
Lounge
Glamour (Blush)proved a wonderful choice when replacing the tired brown curtains left by the previous homeowners. This stylish design in anof the momentcolourway is a great pick for any family home, especially when coordinated with the matching scatter cushions.
Sitting room
With these elegant pinch pleat curtains in Pietra (Autumn), Jo’s sitting room is now ready to entertain guests at a moment’s notice. This fabric takes a more traditional tone than elsewhere in the house, matching the purpose of the room exactly.
Dining room
More brown draped the dining room, but noticing the spacious and airy potential that the room held (thanks to the attached conservatory), Jo’s home consultant recommended Venture (Pearl), a circle design in modern eyelet makeup. Combined with a selection of new accessories, the effect was transformational! This room now sets a tone that’s fitting for anything from Wednesday tea time to a fashionable dinner party.
Bedroom
Despite deciding to focus on sorting out the living areas first, Jo couldn’t resist taking a look at the curtain options for her bedroom. Though she liked the muted grey palette that had been left by the previous owners, she wanted to lift the room with some pattern. Returning once again to our new collection, Jo opted for Wickham (Ash), with complementary Zande (Shadow) blinds. This allowed her to keep the serene palette she liked, whilst adding a new dimension to the design. She also chose to add a throw and some scatters from our Beautiful Bedrooms range to tie the look together.
