For example, if you like to read a lot you may want to create a cosy corner with an adjustable lamp, and lots of comfy throws.

With winter round the corner, now may the perfect time to consider some new curtains to keep the heat in. Thick, sumptuous curtains not only help on the energy bills, they create a luxurious look. Try to position curtains near the ceiling and buy them long enough to just skim the floor. This tricks the eye into thinking the window is bigger than in actually is.
