Living in a period property, Ann and her family often found their home quickly lost heat as the weather began to cool. The introduction of a thermal door curtain was the perfect solution to their issue.

Working closely with her local home consultant, Ann chose a beautiful William Morris fabric that perfectly complemented her heritage home. With a thick thermal lining, the curtains were designed to cover the doorway at the end of her hallway, blocking chilly draughts while still being easy to draw to one side when not needed. The same design was used for a window at the other end of the hallway, adding extra insulation and a coordinated look.

How effective is energy reflective lining?
Our energy reflective curtain lining uses patented technology transmits up to 5 times less heat energy when compared to a conventional cotton lining. Trapping insulating air and excluding drafts, it offers a true thermal solution by reflecting heat energy back into the room in cold climates and out of the window in warm weather.
This means it offers a true hybrid solution for your home throughout the seasons.

Will blackout curtains make my home warmer?
Blackout linings are a wonderful choice when looking to improve light control in a space. Whether its for bedrooms, home cinemas or nurseries, blackout lined curtains and blinds will help you create a darker space.
Whilst there may be some added insulation from blackout linings, we’d recommend our thermal or energy reflective linings for creating a warmer room.
